I took my Junior year of college at the University of Valencia in Spain to learn more about Spanish culture and linguistics, That invaluable experience supplemented the Bachelor of Arts degree I subsequently obtained from Salisbury University here in Maryland.

I have earned a certificate to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). My profile provides a list of topics I am certified by WyzAnt to tutor, and my strengths include grammar, proofreading, writing, reading, and speaking skills for both Spanish and English.

I am retired from a 26-year job at the Department of Defense as a Spanish Translator and Branch Manager. This job required fine-tuned verbal and written communication skills.

In addition to my tutoring jobs, I am currently working as an on-call simultaneous interpreter for Latino physical and occupational therapy patients at local hospitals.
